On November 04,2025 Shiksha Niketan Sr.Sec.School Jeevan Nagar , Jammu has celebrated Guru Parv with great fervor and devotion, honoring the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. Sardar Avtar Singh ji was the chief guest and Sardar Jaswant Singh was the special guest of the occasion .The occasion was started with the spiritual welcome of the guest and the entry of panj pyare with religious fervor. A group of ladies satsang committee from Gurudwara Sahib ji recited the Japuji Sahib , Chaupai Sahib ji, Shabad Kirtan and Anand Sahib followed by ardaas.
Students and teachers alike participated in the celebrations, which included kirtan and speeches highlighting the teachings and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The event aimed to instill values of compassion, humility, and service among the students.
The special guest of the occassion also delivered a speech on the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and also encouraged the students to follow the path of peace and serve the humanity.
The Worthy Principal Shri Rameshwar Mengi ji felicitated the guests as well as the ladies of the satsang committee with Saropa, Simrani as a token of love and respect. The Worthy Chair also emphasized the importance of Guru Nanak’s teachings in today’s world, encouraging students to follow the path of truth, kindness, and selflessness.
The celebration concluded with a sense of gratitude and togetherness, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing spiritual growth and cultural understanding among its students.At the end ,the langer was distributed to all the students and the staff members .
