Shiksha Niketan School, Jeevan Nagar, celebrated Janmashtami on the 24th of August, 2024. The program began with a warm welcome and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a token of gratitude presented to all the esteemed guests.
The cultural program featured a Vandana performance. The celebration also included speeches by Special Guests Ms. Moksha Abrol, Founder Director of The Lioness Club, and Ms. Urvishi Gupta, Assistant Professor. The celebration included an inspiring speech by our Headmaster Sir, who spoke about the profound significance of Janmashtami . He highlighted how the life and teachings of Lord Krishna remind us of the virtues of truth, righteousness, and devotion. He encouraged everyone to embody these principles in their daily lives, just as Lord Krishna did, and to draw inspiration from his childhood stories that are filled with lessons of courage, wisdom, and integrity.”
The students of the school presented a variety of performances. Words of wisdom were shared by the esteemed Principal Sir, who spoke about the childhood of Lord Krishna, which offers us great inspiration and teaches us to live with dignity. He emphasized the importance of living a life guided by the principles of truth and righteousness as exemplified by Lord Krishna. In the end, Principal Sir gave a vote of thanks to the chief guests. The event concluded with the donation of charity items, including toys, stationery, and clothes, for the students at the orphanage.
