Shiksha Niketan, Jeevan Nagar – Jammu Celebrates Its 31st Foundation Day – cum – Grandparents Day.
“Blessed are those who spoil and snuggle, hug and hope, pray and pamper, for they shall be called grandparents.”
The Foundation Day of the School is the day when institution started its academic journey Established in 1993, Shiksha Niketan Sr. Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar Jammu celebrated its “31st Foundation Day as the Grandparents Day” on 21ST Feb, 2024 in its premises. The Students and the teachers of the school marked the Foundation Day in the form of splendid celebrations with Enthusiastic Zeal, Integrity, Dedication, Devotion and Loyalty. The celebration was enacted in the form of a journey of the school from a humble beginning to its Eminent Stature as it stood there today in the presence of the guests. The Special Guests of the event were Mr. Chandeep Singh (Indian Athlete), Mr. Sahil Choudhary (Inspector Excise and Taxation deptt.), Mr. Anmol Randhawa (Flying Officer Airforce), Ms. Sushma Sharma (Founder Teacher of Shiksha Niketan).
The Programme started with the welcoming of the Grandparents, followed by the lamp lighting by the Special Guests Mr. Chandeep Singh, Mr. Sahil Choudhary, Mr. Anmol Randhawa, Ms. Sushma Sharma, the Worthy Principal of the School Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji, the Trustee- Mrs. Rita Mengi Ji, Director of RMPS – Mr. Rakshan Mengi Ji, Director of Pushp Vatika – Mr. Risheek Mengi Ji, Headmaster of the School – Mr. Harish Sharma Ji, Incharges from all the wings and the other Invited Dignitaries.
There was a spectrum of virtual programmes presented by the students of different school wings.The Grandparents had an emotional tings of tears in their eyes after the soulful and innocent performances of the students.
The Fun and Enjoyment were also there for the Grandparents which brought a happy twinkle in their eyes.
Our school has the tradition to give Prizes and Awards to its Meritorious Students for their Unique Performance both in “Academics and Extra Co-curricular Activities”. The students
who obtained 2nd and 3rd positions were awarded the Mementos and Certificates by the Special Guests. The dignitaries also gave away the Prizes to the state-level winners.In the event, an array of stalls with a variety of spicy and savoury mouth-watering food items was also arranged.It looked like a small Festive Event of the ending of session.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chandeep Singh emphasized on the importance of celebrating such kind of days that strengthen the Family Bonds which help in the holistic development and Character building of the children – they would be the responsible Citizens to lead the Society further to Moral Heights.
On the other hand, Mr. Sahil Choudhary praised the combined efforts of the School Management and the Teachers’ for giving proper Directions to the students with regard to their Academics and other Extra Co – Curricular spheres to ensure their all – round personality development to grow as responsible and progressive citizens of this Global society.
The Principal, Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji , gave a long but impressive Speech highlighting the Unique Educational Achievements of the Founder Principal, Late Sh. Dev Dutt Mengi Ji who was an Epitome of Grit, integrity and the person of colossal stature. His worthyself expressed his gratitude to all the Revered Guests especially the Grandparents for their Support and Co-operation to uplift the Educational Standard of the Institution.
At last, Mr. Rameshwar Mengi Ji, the Principal of the School, gave vote of thanks to all the Parents and the Dignitaries who graced the function with their benign presence.
The Function was concluded with the National Anthem.
