Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar- Jammu Celebrates its 55th Annual Day-Cum-Prize Distribution Function.

A Rainbow of Colours unfurled on the stage as Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar (Jammu) celebrated its “55th Annual Day-Cum-Prize Distribution” amidst great Zest, Vibrancy and Elation at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu University on 3rd February (Saturday), 2024.

A Galaxy of the following Dignitaries & Celebrities graced the occasion with their benign presence:

Padma Bhushan Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad Ji – A Political Genius (Former Chief Minister J&K State & Founder Chairman of Democratic Azad Party & President- Gandhi Global Family, New Delhi as a Chief Guest.

They paid their “Heartfelt Tribute” to Late Sh. Dev Dutt Mengi Ji – the Founder Principal of Shiksha Niketan.
The Programme commenced with the singing of the National Anthem immediately after the arrival of the Chief Guest, the Presiding Guest and other Revered Guests.

All the guests were given “Rousing Reception” on their Arrival, and were presented Bouquets by the Principal, Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji along with other Incharges of the School as a Token of Love and
Respect.

The Function commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp by the Chief Guest), and the Presiding Guest , Guests of Honour and the Principal of the School, Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji along with the School Headmaster – Sh. Harish Sharma, Mr. Rakshan Mengi Ji (Director, RMPS) and (Mr. Risheek Mengi Ji – Director, Pushp Vatika, Jeevan Nagar.

The School Annual Report was presented by Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji, the Worthy Principal of the School.
A colourful Cultural programme was presented by the students based on the theme -“NAVRAS”.
A performance was presented by the students of the School, that gave an “Auspicious Start” to the entire programme that was to be followed, where a variety of entertainment brought out the essence of culture and fusion.
An Enthralling Dance was presented by the Students of. High Wing & Sr. Sec. Wing shows the different Ras (Shringara, Raudra, Veera, Bhayanaka, Bibhatsa, Adbutha, Shantha, Hasya, Karuna) .

Thereafter the Students of Primary Wing & Middle Wing displayed a “Power Packed Performance” where a variety of Entertainment brought out the essence of the “Cultural Fusion and Royal Heritage”.
The spectators became spell bound and mesmerized by the performance of the students. Belle Act was enacted by the students of Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar, which was of the different Yugas – The Satya ( Krita) Yuga, The Treta Yuga , The Dwapara Yug, and The Kali Yuga.
Thereafter the Students of High Wing & Sr. Sec. Wing displayed a “Power Packed Performance” where a variety of Entertainment brought out the essence of the “Cultural Fusion and Royal Heritage”.
The Spectators became fully “Mesmerized” at the artistic performance of the students. All the performances were simply scintillating, and were highly appreciated by the distinguished gathering of the Dignitaries and Students’ Parents present there. The gathering applauded the efforts made by the School in all such Extra Co-Curricular performances as they witnessed the participating Students displaying their talents in different aspects on the stage. The Parents were really spell-bound when they saw their wards performing so excellently in front of them.
Hon’ble Chief Guest – Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad Ji gave a “Long but Impressive” Speech highlighting the Social & Educational” contributions of the Founder Principal – Late. Sh. Dev Dutt Mengi Ji. His worthyself was full of appreciations for the School Management & the Administrative Staff including Teachers/ Lecturers for giving Proper Direction to the Students with regard to the Academics and other Extra Co-curricular Achievements to ensure their Allround Personality Development to grow as Enlightened, Responsible and Progressive citizens of this Global Society of Modern Era.
The Presiding Guests Mahant Sahib Sardar Manjeet Singh Ji, Swami Hridhyanand Giri Ji , Sant Subhash Shastri J , Sh.I. D Soni Ji, & Sh. S. P Verma Ji too, praised the combined efforts of the School Management-cum-Administration in bold words. His worthyself impressed upon all the Staff Members especially the School Teaching Faculty Membered to work “Untidily & Tirelessly” to raise the Honour & Prestige of this noble profession of theirs as Nation Builder/s.

PRIZES AND AWARDS :-

Shiksha Niketan has the Tradition to give Prizes and Awards to its Meritorious Students for their unique Performance both in “Academics & Extra Co-curricular” activities. The Students who obtain First three Positions are awarded the Felicitation Cheques for Rs. 15,000/- each, and the Students who score from 4th to 20th Positions in the Board Examination of class 10th and 12th are awarded the Prize Cheques for Rs. 5000/- each. These Prizes are only Token of Love to “Appreciate & Encourage” the Students to Stud their Careers with stars.

All the Invited Dignitaries were presented the Momentos as token of “Love & Respect” by the esteemed Principal, Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji, who expressed his Whole-hearted Gratitude to them for extending their full Support and Co-operation to make the function a memorable event.

The 55th Annual Day Celebration was really a “Historic Event” in the Glorious History of Shiksha Niketan.
