Shiksha Niketan Sr. Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar- Jammu, celebrated Baisakhi on 12th of April, 2024 with great zeal and enthusiasm. A Special Assembly was held to mark the occasion . The School Campus was decorated on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi. The Students dabbled in the relishing pursuits, breathing the aroma of the day. A visual treat was served by organising a cultural function that elevated the spurred aura of glee and festivity .
On this occasion, Worthy Principal Sir, Shri Rameshwar Mengi Ji, Respected Mr. Risheek Mengi Ji – Director Pushp Vatika, Incharges of different Wings & S. Jaswant Singh Ji – Chief Guest of the day, were present.
The Celebration began with the recital of poems explaining the significance of the day, followed by group dance and speech studded with the notions relying message pertinent to vitality and the spirit of the culture and the significance of the day.
The Students were dressed in colourful Punjabi traditional attires, mesmerised the Students and Teachers by their wonderful dance performance which was the highlight of the programme.
While Speaking on the occasion, Respected Principal Sir, Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji said, Baisakhi was not only a harvest festival but also an auspicious day as on this day Guru Gobind Singh Ji, 10th Guru of Sikhs had established the Khalsa Panth.
Baisakhi is a vibrant and peppy festival that is traditionally celebrated across the Northern India. It symbolizes the season of change, when the old is gone and new fresh emerges.
